Billie Moreland & Associates began business in 1992. The initial focus was on the food industry and food facility planning. Billie Moreland’s food articles have been published in national, regional, and local magazines.
Finding inadequate tools for freelance professional writers, Moreland formed a collaboration to develop software for freelance professionals. After creating the manual, other documentation and help screens for this software, Moreland wrote the documentation for Truck Equipment Quoting software.
Billie Moreland & Associates was commissioned by SIRTI to write the Terabyte Triangle Briefing Book in 1997, followed by the Terabyte Triangle Inventory Database and Development Report in 1999. Writing the Terabyte Triangle Newsletter, funded by Downtown Spokane Ventures, was the logical next step. The Terabyte Triangle Newsletter is in its fourth year.
Billie Moreland & Associates created the nomination document for Spokane’s Intelligent Community award in 2004. “The Terabyte Tapestry, Spokane’s Fiber-Based Intelligent Community” helped Spokane to be named one of the world’s top seven Intelligent Communities and the only community so named in the United States. The Intelligent Community Forum based in New York City is the creator of the Intelligent Community Award.
